How to watch Houston basketball vs. San Diego State: start time, TV channel and more

No. 6 Houston Basketball (4-2) will face San Diego State (3-2) in the third-place game at the Players Era Festival on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The Cougars overcame their opening loss to Alabama, defeated Notre Dame and finished the group stage on a positive note.

Houston’s guards were the driving force on the night, with Milos Uzan, Emanuel Sharp and Terrance Arceneaux combining for 40 points against the Fighting Irish.

The Cougars will now look to claim third place in the tournament by defeating an Aztec team that has also had mixed results. After a win in the opening game against No. 21 Creighton, SDSU fell to Oregon.

San Diego State is led by guard BJ Davis, who averaged 18 points and six rebounds while shooting 58.3% from the field at the Players Era Festival.

This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Houston and San Diego State.

The Aztecs lead the series 2-1, but the Cougars won their only meeting in the last 20 years, defeating SDSU in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
