How to watch 2024 Bayou Classic: TV channel, live stream information for Grambling vs Southern

The 51st yearbook Bayou Classic takes place this Saturday, November 30th as the Grambling State Tigers and Southern University Jaguars renew their legendary rivalry. The game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Live coverage begins at 2:00 p.m. ET on NBC and peacock. Below is more information on how to watch and live stream the Grambling vs. Southern game.

While the duel itself dates back almost 100 years, the two teams meet every year in the form of Bayou Classic for 51 years. Since that first Classic in 1974, Southern has a 26-24 series lead, with wins in five of the last six games.

The Grambling State Tigers enter Saturday’s game with redemption in mind: redemption for their 22-17 loss to Alabama A&M on Nov. 14 and redemption for the loss to Alabama A&M Bayou Classic for two consecutive years. Since Saturday’s game is their season finale, the Tigers are defeated Mickey Josephin his first year as the program’s head coach, is on the verge of securing its first six-win season since 2019, ending its five-year losing streak.

The Southern University Jaguars are coming off a 31-9 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, clinching the SWAC West and clinching their spot in the SWAC Championship Game on December 7th.

The Bayou Classic is more than just a football game – it’s a tribute to HBCU culture and history. There is no better proof of this than the annual Battle of the Bands and Greek Show. The Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band will compete against Southern University’s Human Jukebox on Friday, November 29th. Both bands will also perform at halftime on Saturday.
