How to find the Gauss Rifle in Stalker 2

While you can get all kinds of weapons Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobylthe Gauss Rifle is one of the most unique weapons you can find. This weapon is in a late game region, but there is a way to get it early.

You can find the Gauss Rifle in Pripyat, a late game region in Stalkers 2. While you can wait until the main mission takes you there, it is also possible to visit this area earlier. After unlocking the garbage area, you can head northwest until you reach the Yaniv region. I recommend visiting the base while you’re there to pick up a unique weapon from the merchant.

On the east side of the base you will find a hole in the train barrier near an excavator. Jump through this hole and run straight towards Pripyat. You can enter the city by heading northwest. There is an open road at the edge of the map.

Once you arrive in Pripyat, continue following the street until you find the Prometheus Cinema. Look for an open blue door, but don’t go inside. There is another door nearby, but this one is locked. Technically the game wants you to go around and open up from the inside, but you can cheat.

Stand near the locked door and roll a grenade into the room. Remember that you have to roll the grenade, not throw it. Make sure you’re fairly close to the door so the explosives roll past the barricade and explode inside.

I actually wasted five grenades before successfully getting into the building. Once you overcome the obstacles behind the door, you can enter from outside. Turn right and you will find the Gauss Rifle on the wooden desk.

It is a very rare weapon that is only used within the zone. Instead of normal ammunition, it uses batteries and causes very high damage. The disadvantage is that it has a very low rate of fire, but it compensates for this weakness with high range and accuracy.
