How to find all Stalker 2 artifacts: How to get them, use them, and where to sell them

Stalkers in Stalker 2 would be nothing without their artifacts. For most loners, it’s the reason they stay in the zone, and for Skiff, it’s an important way to increase his survivability and get the answers he’s looking for. However, getting to them is anything but easy.

Nothing is easy in Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, from exploration and the many choices during quests to inventory management and survivability. After all, it’s understandable to feel a little challenged or nervous when almost everything is out to kill you, including the landscape.

Luckily, this is where artifacts come into play, serving as small protectors for certain elements throughout the zone. However, some not only have minor (or major) limitations, but can also be extremely difficult to find. Here’s everything you need to know, including all of the game’s artifacts, where to find them, how to get them, and whether you should keep the artifacts you find.

All artifacts and where to find them

There are over 50 different artifacts in Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyleach offering different effects. Of course, the higher the rarity, the more powerful they are, but since most appear randomly, they can be difficult to find.

The best artifacts in Stalker 2

The best artifacts you should find are of course the legendary ones. Not only are they a little easier to find when you’re looking for a specific item, but they also offer the most benefits. Still, some unsuspecting artifacts will come in handy.

The best artifacts in Stalker 2 are listed below.

Hypercube

Stalker 2 Hypercube
  • Thermal protection: Maximum
  • Radiation: Maximum
  • Bleeding resistance: Maximum

The Hypercube is a legendary artifact that helps Skiff survive in virtually any situation. Thermal protection is great for exploring the more dangerous aspects of the zone (and that’s all), while bleed resistance serves to help with gunfights, barbed wire you didn’t spot, or simply scrapes you get into.

If survivability is important to you, the Hypercube has everything you need in one. If you’re in the Red Forest, this is a must – just grab something to combat the radiation.

Strange water

Weird Water Stalker 2
  • Smoother movement effect
  • Radiation protection at the highest level
  • Increases carrying weight by 40 kg
  • Implements a drunken effect

Weird Water is easy to question given the drunken effect it has on Skiff, but an artifact doesn’t always have to be equipped. Finally, using this when you need to carry heavy items like weapons to repair or sell at the nearest warehouse makes sense to be able to handle a small fluctuation and get there without being overloaded.

Combine this with smoother movements and radiation protection, and Weird Water essentially serves as an additional lead-lined backpack to keep you safe on your travels. Just don’t equip it all the time if you suffer from motion sickness.

Thunderberry

Stalker 2 Thunderberry
  • Radiation: Maximum
  • Endurance: Maximum

Stamina is always a frustration in Stalker 2 if you’re more of a hoarder. After all, since so much money is needed for gun repairs, it makes sense to take as much as you can instead of buying ammunition or food. Therefore, increasing your endurance is very useful.

Combine the better stamina with the radiation, and you almost get a slightly weaker version of Weird Water, only without the smoother movement or drunken effect, and with powerful radiation poisoning. Sure, it’s not that powerful, but if you value speed more than carrying weight, the Thunderberry is a must-have.

compass

Stalker 2 Compass
  • Radiation: Maximum
  • Physical protection: Maximum

This legendary compass is an ideal item if you plan on traveling through a high anomaly area or simply need a little more protection from the pesky animals that always come along to bite you. Essentially, your physical protection is increased by up to 90%, meaning these parts have virtually no meaning.

Maximum radiation is certainly difficult, but if you combine this with Weird Water or just plenty of medicine, you’ll be fine.

Rubik’s Cube

Stalker 2 Rubik's Cube
  • Physical protection: Strong
  • Radiation: Maximum

The Rubik’s Cube is the best non-legendary item in Stalker 2. Although it is still rare, its advantages make it essentially a slightly less powerful compass, but proves to be a bit easier thanks to its random spawning through gravity anomalies.

Increasing Radiation can be a bit tricky, but since it’s easy to find and physically protected, there’s nothing wrong with equipping it in certain situations and healing your Radiation whenever you can.

How to get artifacts

Stalker 2 finds artifact

Artifacts are found near a high concentration of anomalies. So if you discover tons of fire, electricity, gravity, radiation, or anything else, it’s very likely that there’s an artifact hidden there.

However, you have to pull it out of these places. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Head to an anomaly.
  2. Enter your inventory or use your hotkey to equip the artifact detector.
  3. Equip a bolt in the other hand.
  4. Move slowly through the anomalies, following the beeps as you go.
  5. When the beep becomes almost a solid sound, look for the artifact on the ground.

It can get a little dangerous, especially given the close proximity to the anomaly, but hang in there and stay careful and you should find it.

It is worth noting that some artifacts, such as B. Weird Water can be found in different ways, but in most cases you will have success following the steps above.

How to use

Once you have an artifact in your inventory, you’ll want to use it. To do this, you need to equip it in one of the five slots under your pistol and artifact detector.

Stalker 2 equips artifact

Once you move it to this spot (aka your belt), it will give you all the positives and negatives it promises. To equip it, simply move it back into your inventory and off your belt.

Should you sell artifacts?

This is a tricky question because every player and every artifact is different. So ultimately it’s up to you. However, we recommend that you keep as many of them as you want to equip and sell the rest.

Because while it’s worth remembering to equip some of them and not forgetting the benefits they give you, it’s best to sell an artifact when you’re not using it, especially given its weight. However, if you don’t need the money and would rather collect it all, storing it is also an option.

Where can you sell artifacts?

We recommend you go to the weapons dealer in Slag Heap. He offers big money for your artifacts and usually beats the prices of most other sellers in the zone.

Stalker 2 sells artifacts

However, getting a good price when selling items in Stalker 2 depends on who you get cheaper from and who you ask. For example, a simple bartender probably won’t be too interested in weapons, and someone who isn’t a stalker won’t be interested in the artifacts.

Therefore, go to the factions with which you have the most sympathy and sell to these traders and wholesalers. They offer you the best price. Remember: When it comes to selling in Stalker 2, always shop around because not everyone will offer you a good price.
