Houston Weather: Storms due to heavy rain

Houston – – Friday is a Fox 26 Storm Alert Day. Afternoon and evening storms could be serious with heights in the mid-1980s.

• A serious thunderstorm warning is in force for the northeast of Harris County and the Southwestern Liberty County until 3:45 p.m.
• A serious thunderstorm warning is in force for the district of South Austin and Centralado Colorado County until 4.15 p.m.
• A thunderstorm clock is in force for Harris, Fort Bend, Grimes, Montgomery, Liberty, Waller, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker and Washington.

The National Weather Service emphasized our entire area with an “improved” risk of storm – this generally means a very high chance of storms that could create hail and/or harmful winds.
