Hokies fall on Clemson’s ACC semi -final game

Charlotte – Virginia Tech with the third seed fell on Friday afternoon at Harrington Athletics Village in the ACC semi-final on the second-seal Clemson (10: 9).

Cori McMillan scored her 30th Homerun of the season and was the first ACC player to scored 30 Homeruns in a single season.

How it happened: Clemson 10, Virginia Tech 9
Tech used three early Clemson errors to take over a 3-1 lead. With a runner in second place, Cori McMillan went 5-1 lead for the 30th time this season. She was only 17th player in Division I, who scored 30 in a season.

Kylie Aldridge tore a three-RBI double to the left into the middle to extend the tech lead to 8-2. The Hokies added another to make it 9-2 after Lyla Blackwell was secured in the middle to achieve Aldridge.

Clemson used the five walks of the Hokies and gathered for eight runs at the bottom of the sixth place to take the 10: 9 lead. The Hokies could not bind the game to the top of the seventh band.
