Heavy fog to start the day in NYC. Tracking potentially heavy thunderstorms on Friday

The rainy weather wanes a Thursday in New York City, but thunderstorms are back in the forecast to close the week.

We will be cloudy on Wednesday on Thursday of rainfalls and floods.

Rain sums for New Jersey

The soaked rain this week helps to combat the dry conditions, especially in parts of New Jersey.

Banks Ridge in Somerset County on Wednesday evening 2.84 inches, followed by Charlotteburg in Passaic County with 2.04 inches.

High point in Sussex County and Teterboro in Bergen County also saw themselves over an inch.

The widespread fog – and the local dense fog – was the talk of morning. Actually, Newark Liberty International Airport had up to 3 hours of delaysAnd the road trip was reduced to about half of the speed.

Fortunately, the fog will ultimately raise for a good part of the area until this afternoon. Nevertheless, clouds here and there are dominated with an isolated downpour. Outside of this, it will be a warmer day with heights of around 70 °.

After a remaining evening shower, fog will exceed the area again. And like this morning we may have a thick fog in our hands, so slowly take it out of the door.

More thunderstorms in the shop on Friday

The chances of a shower increase to around 40%on Friday. And with the additional heat and instability, there could be a strong thunderstorm, especially inside. Otherwise, it is largely cloudy in the low until mid -1970s and moist with heights.

As for Saturday, it will feel more like June, with strong thunderstorms in the forecast.
