Hasted crosses were located

On Wednesday evening, the Ministry of Public Security was communicated via a swastika, which was carved into a toilet in a door in a dorm on the Pembroke campus. This is based on a community-wide email on Thursday afternoon from Executive Vice President for Planning and Politics Russell Carey ’91. The incident is currently being examined by the DPS.

According to e -mail, the symbol was “immediately removed by repairing and re -painting the door”.

“Every incident with hate on our campus is deeply worrying and against the mission, the values, the code of conduct of the university and the expectations of the community,” wrote Carey. “We condemn such behavior according to possible possible terms.”

The reported incident is carried out in the middle of an investigation by title VI by the office for civil rights of the US Ministry of Health and the office for health services in the university, which was expanded by a closer examination of alleged anti -Semitism on Warren Alpert Medical School during the opening ceremony in May 2024.

In April, an official of the White House confirmed to the Herald that the Trump government is planning to stop the federal financing of 510 million US dollars to the university because they work on the concerns about alleged anti -Semitism and diversity, justice and inclusion policy.

In his e -mail on Thursday, Carey found that “an incident of anti -Semitic hatred in a dormitory is particularly worrying”, and added that the university “ensures that our community has an environment that is free of discrimination and harassment”.

This is a developing story. Have a look after updates.
