Guardians 5-3 Blue Jays (May 3, 2025) Spielrekap

Toronto–Daniel Schneeman hit his first career grand Slam and added a solo shot that led the Cleveland Guardians to a 5-3 win against Toronto Blue Jay from Toronto Blue Jay on Saturday.

With Toronto with 3-1 and two outs in the ninth inning, Schneemann pulled a 0-1 field from Yimi García to the stands in the right field for his first multi-Homer game and the fourth long ball of the season.

Snowman gave Cleveland his first run with a solo homer from Chad Green in eighth place.

Kolby Allard (2-0) allowed a run in four innings for victory, and Emmanuel Clase ended his sixth rescue in eight chances.

Bo Bichette met his first Homerun of the season for Toronto. However, the Blue Jays wasted six shutout inside from the right-handed Kevin Gausman and lost for the first time in four games.

Gausman allowed a goal, did not go and excluded nine out of six innings. García (0-1) blew his second rescue in four chances.

Torontos Leadoff-Schlagmann, Bichette, connected himself in first place, which he saw in the first right Gavin Williams from Cleveland.

Williams gave up a first Homerun for the second start in a row. Minnesotas Edouard Julien connected him to the twins with a defeat on April 28. Williams allowed two runs and seven goals in four innings. He went five and hit nine, both of the season.

Guardians Slugger José Ramírez was from the line -up. The six-time all-star left Friday in the third inning after he sprained his right ankle when he stumbled on an infield single on the first basis.

Key moment

Steven Kwan led the ninth with a single one and Carlos Santana and Bo Naylor went to snowman’s Two-out slam.

Key

Bichette was no longer at home in Chicago since May 27, 2024.

Next on

RHP Bowden Francis (2-4, 5.28 ERA) will probably start on Sunday for the Blue Jays against Guardians Rhp Tanner Bibee (2-2, 4.36).
