Grappling Bulletin: Giles tests sets the CJI team, Mica to Wno & More

We bring this weekly grappling bullet back, hopefully fans can use this to meet all the little things that are going to go with the grappling and look at what occurs.

What happens in Jiu-Jitsu?

-The CJI MISFIT’s team for Australia/Asia was determined! At the weekend, Lachlan Giles organized the first CJI attempts in Melbourne, Australia. It looked up Declan Moody and Belal Etiabari and they will represent the region at -99 kg and +99 kg. Lachlan also announced that the IBJJF world champion Fabricio Andrey will include the Wildcard election at -66 kg. Receive the full results of the event here.

-Next CJI exams will take place in two weeks because the MISFITS trainer from Europe, Faris Benlamkadem, organizes his own tournament for the open places at -77 kg, -88 kg and +99 kg. Here you will find the full CJI teams, including well -known test entries.

-Mica galvão posted that he signed a contract for the main event of WNO 28. Who will be his opponent? Announcement soon.

-Sentries for IBJJF Worlds continues to heat, the registration is still running for a week. Complete ongoing entries are here. Some new names you should pay attention to;

  • Thalison climbs in the rooster
  • Fabricio Andrey near Feather
  • Cole hits Feather
  • Meyram up in light (gets up, I assume that I try to achieve a greater influence outdoors)
  • Elijah Dorsey in light (comes from the center)

-Three people win the official IBJJF Grand Slam for the 2024-2025 season. Ibjjf describes her competitive season for the beginning of the world and runs through Brasileros. Gabi Pessanha, Diego Pato and Adam Wardziński all honor the honor. Gabi wins it for the fourth time, Adam becomes the first European to reach the feat.

-Polaris announced the constellations for the women’s events with teams from Europe and America. It is a team against team event, but with a lot more playing than a quintet style. These troops become:

  • Team Europe
    • Trainer – Ffion Davies
    • Margot Ciccarelli
    • Ane Svendsen
    • Josefine Modig
    • Sula-Mae Loewenthal
    • Selma Vik
  • Team USA
    • Trainer – Helena Crevar
    • Brianna Ste-Marie
    • Jasmine Rocha
    • Taylor Hishaw
    • Amanda Alequin
    • Alanis Santiago

-Pgf announced Your 8th season with a few big changes, including a longer season. Instead of bringing everyone in just 5 days for tons of games, the tournament will take place for 3 months. The PGF founder Brandon McCaghren said;

“This was always the big vision. Jiu-Jitsu is the fastest growing martial arts in the world. The athletes are ready. The fans are ready. And now we are building the league format that they have all been waiting for.”

-Jay Rodriguez was dismissed From B team for inappropriate behavior that violates the null tolerance guideline of the gym. He spoke to the situation publicly and says he is looking for treatment for his actions.

-The League team of the defender Aiga Champion has renamed From Team Modolfo to Williams Elite team and is now sponsored by Williams Construction.

-ADCC Open went down in Atlanta and it was really big, with many high -quality trends in the mix. The biggest is the 13 -year -old Joselyn “Baby Shark” Molina won the open class for adults. The Sainz Brothers (the oldest Michael was on WNO) also stuck three in the final with two champions. I think you wrote the story of Florida this year by being the first family with three brothers in the same state finale.

-Professional Grappling Bon Vivant Craig Jones helped coach Jack Della Maddalena for a UFC World Cup. Take a look at this cool John Wayne/Giggler/Knee Lebel, which he had gotten up at a crucial moment.

-Canadian Jasmine Jasudavicius won by submitting UFC 315 and was promoted In the cage to the BJJ black belt.

The Italian League Ocean BJJ organized another test event, this time in Venice. Germany’s Denise Krahn, who won the +65 kg women department, was particularly impressive.

Pro grapping rankings updates

After Brazil’s busy week we have new ranking lists in GI and NO-Gi. Every IBJJF major brings significant shocks, as does the Grand Prix at £ 185. Some highlights;

Why did we make all of these changes? Watch below.

What happens in BJJ

  • May 17th: F2W returns to Washington, DC and ‘Big Breakfast’ Elijah Dorsey will be the main event. I previously called it the most underestimated grappler in the world, but I have to change that – people start. He went to the wire with Mica according to the ADCC rules and then only had a game of the year with Tainan in the Brasileiro Gi final a week later. Many solid talents in the area too for the rest of the map.
  • May 18th: The next Sunday, Lijjn will debut floupling with Jiu-Jitsu super fights from Long Island, NY. It is cool to have a NY show back on the network and you can see some really promising young people on the show. 2 p.m. CDT.
  • May 24: CJI Europe Trials, The Faradinho tests. MISFITS European Team Trainer Faris Benlamdakem will carry out the exams for his team at -77 kg, -88 kg and +99 kg. With Owen Jones as your -66 kg, I assume that the -99 kg will be either the Wildcard or Faris itself.
  • May 29th: Ibjjf Worlds begins with colored belts during the week and on Saturday and Sunday, the black belts are devoted.
  • May 29: UFC FPI 11 offers a really big main event with top 2 pound-for-pound talents Adele Fornarino and Ffion Davies in the main event.
  • June 13th: WNO 28 returns to Costa Mesa, one of the most scapped areas in the world. The main event with Mica will be announced this week and we have more title fights.
