George Clooneys ‘Jay Kelly’ defines December -publication date on Netflix

Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly” with George Clooney as a man named Jay Kelly set a streaming premiere date on Netflix on December 5th. The film, in which Adam Sandler, Billy Crudup and Laura Dern also play the leading role, will also receive a theater release three weeks earlier on November 14th.

“Jay Kelly” marks the second feature under Baumbach’s several years of deal for writing and direct films for Netflix. Previously, he had adapted the Don Delillo novel “White Noise” to a feature for the streamer. The film played Gerwig, Adam Driver and Don Cheadle and was released on Netflix in December 2022 after playing Venice Film Festival and New York Film Festival.

Before “White Noise”, Baumbach wrote and headed the divorce drama “Ehen Story” 2019, which was one of Netflix’s greatest successes this year. It received six Oscar nominations and a victory for Laura Dern in the category of the incidental actress.
