Former Padres Pitcher signed with the American league candidate

Rich Hill is well on the way to return to the Major League Baseball for a 21st season.

The former Padres Pitcher signed a Minor League contract with the Kansas City Royals, which announced the move to Twitter/X on Tuesday.

Hill, who turned 45 in March, appeared in 10 games for the Padres in 2023. He was more from the baseball from the baseball since he was released by the Boston Red Sox last September.

An MLB season has not passed since 2004, without Hill having a field. The Royals would be the 14th team that starts at the Major League level if he is promoted this season.

Hill will pick up where he stopped last autumn when he signed a Minor League contract with his hometown Red Sox, but was published by Boston in September 2024. The left-hander saw in four major League games, all of which were from the bullpen from the bullpen.

Hill 90-74 with an ERA of 4.01 is in 386 career games. He exposed himself to training his son’s Little League team at the beginning of the 2024 season, but showed that at a time when the teams appear with faster fast balls to younger pitchers, he still retired.

“I would like to play for another year and have the opportunity to get into the post -season and win a World Series,” Hill said last November about Bob Nightengales USA Today. “This is the dream of everyone. I’ve been around a few times, but it’s not like something I experienced in the game.

“It doesn’t play anything comparable in the post -season.

Kansas City is an excellent starting pad for a possible post -season. The Royals are currently 25-18, more victories than all except for an American League team, after winning a Wild Card lying area last October and entering the al Division series.

Hill made his debut with the Chicago Cubs in 2005, four years after he had been worked out from the University of Michigan. In addition to the Cubs and Padres, he also threw thrown for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Guardians, Los Angeles Angeles and New York Yankees.
