Florida woman shot her husband multiple times in a luxury apartment before killing herself

A Florida man is dead after his wife fatally shot him and then herself on the balcony of their luxury oceanfront high-rise in a tragic murder-suicide, police said.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 12:30 p.m., Hallandale Beach police officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired at Beach Club II Hallendale at 1830 South Ocean Drive, NBC 6 reported.

According to NBC 6, officers found 34-year-old Pajtim Krasniqi and his 27-year-old wife Sabrina Krasniqi dead on the balcony of their apartment unit from apparent gunshot wounds.

As CBS News reported, Sabrina shot Pajtim several times before shooting herself.

According to NBC 6, the couple lived on the 45th floor of the luxury building Miami Herald reported that police are investigating what led to the fatal shooting.

In a heartbreaking post on Facebook, Albana Krasniqi Munrett wrote: “I did not spend my Thanksgiving evening with my husband and children. It wasn’t spent with friends. I spent the time listening to police officers, detectives and news reports discussing the cruel and senseless murder of my youngest brother at the hands of his wife.”

“Pajtimi’s wife decided to take my brother’s life when she shot five bullets into his chest. The person he trusted most, the person he wanted to spend his life with, was the one who took away his being. She betrayed him, his love and his trust. She destroyed my family. My siblings and I will never be the same again. “I’m afraid my mother will never recover,” the post continued.

She ended the post by saying, “I love you always Pajtim RIP.”

The Albanian newspaper Gazeta theme reported that the couple were Albanian nationals from Kosovo.

Hallandale police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
