Five former New York Yankees on A’s squad before the weekend series

For decades, athletics were considered the New York Yanke’s farm team. This corresponds to the 1950s when the two teams would make trades that the bombers prefer, such as the trade with Roger Maris, only so that the slugger wins MVP awards in a row and the Homerun record that would be over 40 years.

Recently, the trend is largely reduced when the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets hold more former athletics on their roster than Yankees. In fact, it is the A’s that actually have more former Yankees in the club these days, with the West Sacramento Ball Club currently laying five former nurse before its weekend series.

The most obvious is the ASS of New A, Luis Severino, who signed the team at the New York Mets in the off -season after one year. He had been in needle strips in the first eight years and will be in his career with his former club for the first time on Sunday.

The 31-year-old has a 1: 3 record with an ERA of 3.62 ERA through eight starts and also aimed this winter that the ACE went into six in our eight starts this winter.

JP Sears is also a former Yankee who comes by in Frankie Montas/Lou Trivino deal, and this season he was probably the best starter of the A with an ERA of 2.93 and at the same time immersed them deeper into games than in previous years. Funnily enough, he has more victories against the A, one than the Yankees (0-4, 6.49 ERA).

Mitch Spence was selected by the A’s Away from the New York farm system in Rule 5 draft from 2023 and gave its MLB debut last season. He started the year as a long man from the Bullpen and then worked into the rotation in May, where he would stay for the rest of the season.

This year he is back in the Bullpen and takes over a variety of roles. He was the long man, but since José Leclerc’s injury, he was rather a full -fledged auxiliary jug and even took some situations with a high lever.

Miguel Andijar spent most of the time with the Greens and Gold in the last two seasons, but since the A view, Nick Kurtz, brought up the top view that pushed her hottest batsman Tyler Soder current into the outer field.

The A’s coaching team approached Andujar to include his earlier place in the hot corner to get his racket in the line -up, and there he was the last three games.

If you don’t see Andujar in third place, you will probably see another Free Agent Signe, Gio Urshela, who was near New York from 2019 to 2021. Urshela was decent for athletics, but he also has to deal with some back problems that occasionally kept him out of the line -up.

While the Yankees do not have a former A squad on their roster at the moment, they were the first team in the 31st round of the MLB design in 2010 that Aaron Judge designed.
