Eagles expand HC Nick Sirianni

The Super Bowl Champions will have continuity on the side in the coming years. The Eagles announced this head coach on Monday Nick Sirianni has agreed to an extension.

“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago.” An explanation of the owner Jeffrey Lurie partially reads. “His authentic leadership style, his football intelligence, his passion for the game and the growth poetry have contributed to getting the best in our team. I am happy about what the future has for the Philadelphia Eagles.”

Sirianni led the Eagles to a playoff lounger in each of his first three seasons. Philadelphia won nine, 14 and 11 games in this range, an indication of the potential of the team in which the former offensive coordinator from Colts was present. Despite this success – including a trip to the Super Bowl in his second person – Sirianni’s future was a topic of conversation that entered the 2024 campaign.

A collapse of the late season in 2023 led to a wildcard exit and another round of coordinator changes in Philadelphia. General manager Howie Roseman played a key role in setting the setting of Kellen Moore And Vic Fangio, Something that showed doubts about Sirianni’s term in the organization. Tension with quarterback Jalen hurts appeared as a topic of conversation in August, but with a new OC (one with more autonomy as a bog predecessor, Brian Johnson), that was considered less of a problem for a large part of the 2024 season.

More to come …
