Donatella Versace calls the Miami Hotel with her name: “Dilk”

Donatella Versace is not here for the new Miami Hotspot. The legendary designer beats a new hotel and a new restaurant that uses her name without her consent. Worse, it happens near the place where her brother, Gianni Versacewas murdered.

Donatella went on Instagram to share a screenshot of her explanation. “Let me be clear. The hotel and the restaurant named Donatella near our former family home in Miami will never have anything to do with me or my family,” she wrote. The famous designer continued: “To try to use our tragedy and my name for profit is shameful.”

It is not a new tension. The project, the Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, is launched by Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality. The group bought the former Versace Mansion at the auction in 2013 and beat Donald Trump. Gianni was tragically shot on the front steps in 1997.

They accepted the Versace aesthetics and, after almost three years, became renovation work on Villa Casa Casuarina and Gianni’s, a luxury hotel and a restaurant. Despite the name and glamor, the Versace family has no formal connection to the shop. It used to be the place that they called at home before renaming. Now thousands of guests in Donatella’s old room have paid a lot of money to sleep.

It is probably a triggered situation for Donatella, and now the converted hotel with six rooms and the restaurant with 170 seats only has a few steps away. After seeing the success of the villa, it makes financially useful why they wanted.

It will be interesting to see whether Donatella tries to legally intervene because she may have a case.

The end of an era

All of this comes after Donatella resigned after more than 25 years as Chief Creative Officer from Versace.

Nevertheless, Donatella stayed in the spotlight. At this year’s Met Gala, she wore a tailor -made, embroidered crystal, metal network and a chain mail, which took over 400 hours. She came with Chance of the rapperLooks incredible in his Versace look.
