Dodgers put Roki Sasaki on the injured list

The Dodgers announced that they had placed Roki Sasaki On the 15-day injured list with a shoulder impact. Reliever JP Feyereisen was reminded of triple-a Oklahoma City from the start of the free roster.

Manager Dave Roberts said that evening that Sasaki had reported some arms after his start on Friday. The diamondbacks marked him for five runs with so many hits and a few walks over four inner sings. Sasaki did not take a single strike and only induced four hubs. He now bears an average of 4.72 deserved run through his first eight big league starts. He only divided 15.6% of the opponents while he spent walks into an unsustainable set of 14.3%.

It is clearly not the way Sasaki imagined to start his major League office. Of the 133 jugs that have registered at least 30 innerings, only San Diego’s Randy Vásquez Has a worse difference between strikeout/walk rate. The 23-year-old Sasaki dominated in NPB in his four seasons and achieved an ERA of 2.10 with a strike rate of almost 33%. He remains one of the most talented young jugs of sport, although his debut in the USA has not yet been as planned.

Sasaki’s story of injury was the only blow to his time in Japan. In an NPB season he never reached 130 Innerings. He was limited to 18 starts and 111 frames last season. Sasaki missed the time with a weird tear and fought his shoulder fatigue in 2024. The Dodgers have not provided a timeline for his return.

Roberts said that tonight Clayton Kershaw will return to rotation on Saturday. He will participate Yoshinobu YamamotoPresent Dustin MayPresent Tony Gonsolin And Landon -Knack In the start five. Sasaki was supposed to take the ball on Thursday, although yesterday after the team’s off -day, the Dodgers were able to turn to May four days after the off day. Gonsolin would also rest for four days for the start on Friday before Kershaw’s activation.
