The Dark Knight (2008)

The middle chapter by Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, The dark knight is viewed by many as the greatest superhero films that have ever been shot.

The films follow the efforts of Batman (Christian Bale), Gotham PD Leutnant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and district lawyer Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), who are on organized crimes.

Another epic film about male fear of a legendary filmmaker, Goodfellas sees Martin Scorsese and Nicholas Pileggi Adapt Pileggi’s book, Wiseguy.

Critics praised the nuance of the film and its realistic representation of a world that show many films as glamorous. Schemal called it “a sobering warning story against a life with crimes” while The Telegraph commented that “violence was rarely less glamorous or with more moral effectiveness”.

Other critics have found its importance under Scorses’s work with The times Name it “the one in which all of his subsequent films have come” Film4 The film is “probably the best hour from Scorsese”.

If you fancy an epic journey through morality, bait and the consequences of a life of crimes, you could be much worse than one of the gangster cinema.

Based on Patricia Highsmith’s book The salt pricePresent Carol is a beautiful representation of the forbidden love between two women in New York in the 1950s.

Cate Blanchett plays Carol, a woman who is divorced and has difficulty finding luck in the world around her. In a department store to buy your daughter a toy train for Christmas, she judges the shop assistant Therese (Rooney Mara) and is immediately in love. Carol conspired to meet Therese through a toy delivery and a missing pair of gloves, a friendship that soon blooms into a fascinating romance.
