Dawn StaLey takes a page in Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Drama

“It’s a sport. Treat us like a sport. It happens in every sport, football, basketball, football. So leave it.”

Staley then said that they took the same attitude that both Clark and Reese took after the game – a foul was committed, rated properly and everyone moves on.

Staley even admitted that the rivalry and competition between Clark and Reese want to make them see the next Fieber-Sky game.

“I’m looking forward to the next time you play,” said Staley. “I will be glued in like everyone else.”

Staley trained against Reese and Clark in college, with Reese in the SEC at the LSU and Clarks Iowa Hawkeyes in recent years.

Staley is a three-time national champion at South Carolina and transforms the program into a multi-year power package in women’s college basketball. She is also one of the biggest players in WNBA history and makes six all-star teams while training in Temple in the low season.

The fever and the Sky will meet for the second time this season on June 7th. It is the first of two meetings in Chicago, and the games are played in the United Center, the home of Chicago Bulls.

With Clark, Reese and the additional intrigue of the first matchup, we will see whether the two teams can set up a new WNBA visitor record in the house that made Michael Jordan famous.
