Dave Portnoy has given this brittle new NYC Pizza spot a 9.2 rating, and now it is like crazy -here is what real New Yorkers think

Dave Portnoy has just given one of his highest pizza reviews to a newly opened pizzeria in Little Italy from what is now causing impatient lines and sold-out cakes.

The founder of Barstool Sports is known for his viral ganz to mention controversial one-bite-pizza reviews. And recently, Ceres Ceres-a three-month-old pizzeria gave in the 164 mott St., who run a whopping 9.2 out of 10 points from two former eleven Madison Park chefs, Jake Serebnick and Julian Geldmacher.

Portnoy showered it with praise and called it “spectacular” and “must-have, top-of-the-list Manhattan Pizza … as good as possible”.

Does he have a new NYC favorite? This fame brings it, at least near a trio of his struggle, which last autumn, near his fight in the fight, unveiled sizes near Gotham: “Johns von Bleecker, Lucali and Luigi. That would be three, all of which are up there.”

Now, just a few days after Portnoy’s rating has expired, the lines at Ceres are at the door, 6 US dollar discs are sold out and a very $ 40 is only sold in time.

As the Food columnist of the Post, Steve Cuozzo, previously found in his review of Ceres, show the “kitchen skills in their tedious pizza preparation”, which contains a crust of wild yeast and toppings, which was used with what Cuozzo described as the “precision of the scientist”.

In order to keep up with the demand, Seebnick and money makers implement two workers of the pizzeria-a system, in which hungry pizza fans can start sharply at noon when the business opens to snap a time window and then return to claim their piping hotel.

The young owners may sunbathe in the increasing popularity of their business, but those who have been fans of Ceres since their opening are grumpy when Portnoy draws massive crowds.

Pizza pandemonium

On Thursday, locals such as Jacob Shemia, Stanley Chera and Ness Ades were waiting for a foretaste of what will quickly become Manhattan’s spoken slice.

“I saw Dave’s video and how he was 9.2. I live down here and thought:” Wow, I have to come, “said Ades about The Post.

“I came for the first time yesterday, it was sold out at 4 p.m. and they told me that I should come back today. I came back at 11 a.m., they put down my name and I could only get it at 5:30 p.m.”

Shemia, who arrived at noon and was lucky enough to get a slot at 5 p.m., called Portnoy the ultimate “Guy of Pizza” and said: “When you hear that Dave says something good, you have to try.”

CHERA, a self-proclaimed pizza fan from Brooklyn, would not fade the chance either. “I thought, do you know what? I need this piece of pizza.”

Eager pizza fans, who did not know the time slit rule, were rejected at 5 p.m. when a pizza box was “sold” by the owners to the shop from the words in black ink.

The Ceres Instagram account (@ceres.nyc) recently found that the pizzeria can only cook six cakes at the same time and a maximum of 140 a day.

“We do not make an online order,” added the post office and asked the fans to get there early or risk it early, with empty hands to go home what has happened to many sad customers like Alexa Albert.

“I thought I would come here before the evening hat and I was so disappointed,” said Albert from Seattle to The Post.

Is the 40 dollar -pizza worthwhile?

But is it really worth an expensive cheesecake – or tomato slices – really worth it? Since some of the best pizza in the country houses in NYC, some could be skeptical about a rookie pizza business, the original concept of which was created during pandemic.

After four years to secure a rental agreement and refuse to take over investors, moneymakers and Seebnick gathered credit card debt to put the place into operation.

And now? The gambling seems to pay off. Fast.

And while some doubts exist – such as Cuozzo, who explained some slices “too dry for my taste” – others who managed to snap a desired slice, Portnoys agreed extremely high rating.

“It has the hype fair. The regular disc is incredible, the sauce is great, the cheese is great and fresh. … it is definitely in the three best pizzas I’ve ever tried,” said CHERA about The Post.

“I had six slices – it is probably the best pizza in Manhattan, maybe the best pizza in the five districts,” added Ades. These sound like combat words.

The drooling pizza at Ceres not only delighted the taste buds of the customers – it brought them together.

On the busy sidewalk of the Mott Street in front of the Pizzeria, friendly customers such as Shemia and Justin Chapman offered the disc of their 40 dollar cake.

“Have fun,” said Chapman, when a radiant Albert held up a slice that she never thought she would get the chance to try to return to Seattle before she returned home. After taking a bite, she said to The Post: “I love thin crust pizza … it’s actually pretty perfect.”

“I would not let a 40 dollar cake waste,” said Chapman about sharing his pizza with a stranger. “We do that in New York.”

Ceres will be closed from May 16 to 20, so that anyone who wants to try the highly rated pizza can come on May 21.
