CT Weather: Much colder weather is coming, the next chance of snow is on the horizon

CONNECTICUT – Those 70-degree, sunny days of early November seem like a distant memory as much colder weather has arrived and isn’t here to stay for the foreseeable future.

For at least the next week, temperatures will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s during the day and fall into the 15 to 20s at night.

Despite the colder weather, it will remain mostly dry next week, but there is a chance of snow next Wednesday.

“On Wednesday and Thursday, surface low pressure will move to the north of the region, sending a cold front through the area. This system is accompanied by some moisture, and Light rainfall is possible from Wednesday night to Thursday. Due to the cold air mass, light snowfall is expected across the region. “As the front moves through, an even colder air mass could move into the region by the end of next week,” the National Weather Service said in its forecast briefing.

Of course, the system is still a week away and a lot can change, but for those of you looking forward to snow, there’s a chance next Wednesday night.

Weekend forecast details

“The weekend starts cool. Small Business Saturday (the last day of November) will be windy with highs in the lower 40s. Next week

“Monday and Tuesday the sky will remain mostly sunny. There could be a little more cloudiness through Wednesday as a storm system approaches from the west. The bigger story, however, is certainly the temperatures! Expect a period of below average temperatures with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s…we’re feeling more like winter as we start the new month! The chance of rain will increase slightly until Thursday! There is still a lot of uncertainty on this, so check back this weekend!” said meteorologists at WFSB 3 TV. (Read/Watch more on WFSB 3 TV).
