Covid-19 returns: 257 cases registered, 2 dead in Mumbai; Find out here

A new wave of Covid-19 sweeps through parts of Asia, and countries like Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand see an increase in infections. The increase is mainly driven by new Omicron sub-variants, in particular by JN.1 and its descendants such as Lf.7 and NB.1.8. However, it is the fact that India is currently in 257 active COVID 19 cases, although the majority is mild and, according to official data, does not require hospital care.

Kerala has recorded most of the new infections with 69 cases since May 12, followed by Maharashtra with 44 cases and Tamil Nadu with 34. Other states with new cases include Karnataka (8), Gujarat (6), Delhi (3) and each in Haryana, Rajasthan and Sikkim.

In Mumbai, the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital (recently associated with Covid-19 deaths in connection with COVID-19) were reported. According to a report by the Hindustan Times, doctors said that both patients had serious health states. One was a 14-year-old with kidney failure caused by the nephrotic syndrome, and the other was a 54-year-old cancer patient.

Health experts have repeatedly expressed concerns that India could also increase an increase in the population due to the dwindling immunity.

The Ministry of Health and Family care had previously reported 93 active COVID 19 cases by May 19. It is no longer more important to recognize the symptoms of this new covid 9 variant. Let us find out.

What are the symptoms of the JN.1 variant?

The health authorities say that the symptoms of the JN.1 variant are largely similar to those in former Omicron trunks. This includes:

  • Sore throat
  • Fever
  • Running or blocked nose
  • Dry cough
  • Headache
  • fatigue
  • Loss of taste or odor

Some patients have also reported more intensive exhaustion than in previous waves. Most cases remain mild and can be managed at home with calm and fluid intake. However, the severity of the disease can vary depending on the age, existing health conditions and individual immunity levels.

In view of the diseases already affected before the monsoon, which affect parts of the country, the doctors advise people to be vigilant. Anyone who has flu -like symptoms is asked to avoid crowds, to wear masks in public and to be tested if necessary.

While the virus is developing, health experts all over the world emphasize the importance of good hygiene and early medical consultation to reduce the risk of serious illnesses.
