Caitlin Clark’s victory against Angel Reese, Chicago Sky puts the ESPN WNBA indicator record

Caitlin Clark had a great start in this WNBA season and achieved a triple double when she led the Indiana fever to a dominant 93:58 victory against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in The Season Opener. In doing so, she proved that her draw towards the fans was not a flash in the pan.

On Tuesday, ESPN announced that the Fieber-Sky game for the network has set up a new audience record record. An average of 2.7 million viewers agreed on the Clark Reee-Lauf window and reached 3.1 million, which was the most watched WNBA game in ESPN history-in such a way into a regular season and follow-up.

Impressive numbers. The rivalry of Clark and Reese is a top storyline in the WNBA and got a little more juice after the Star Point Guard had the Sky Center on Saturday. Clark achieved a clean statistics of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the dominant victory, while Reese scored 12 points and drew 17 boards. After its matchup, however, the WNBA announced an investigation of the alleged racist comments from fans during the game.

The new record should serve as an early memory of Clark’s fame in relation to the audience. It was the driving force behind the largest evaluation season of the W in 2024. The superstar seems to be not slowed down in this regard.
