Washington, DC-C-Span will start Ceasefire, a new weekly television program in which Democrats and Republicans come together to solve problems and to discuss our nation’s major challenges.

In autumn 2025, Ceasefire is an unconventional new television program that should help to address the department in America’s political discourse. C-Span will offer viewers across the country at a time when the division and dysfunction dominates the national conversation, a radical other.

“In a media landscape that too often rewarded outrage over understanding, the ceasefire is noticeable of what respectful, fundamental conversation looks,” said Sam Feist, CEO of C-Span.

“C-span is perhaps the only television program that is uniquely equipped in 2025 to broadcast such a program-we as a non-profit public service cannot be operated by evaluations or drama, but to inform, educate and enable a committed citizen.”

Ceasefire will often contain members of the congress from the opposite pages of the gang and national figures that would normally not be paired and consist of honestly discuss what they agree to and do not. This program creates a space for two managers – which is devoted to the respectful dialogue – to research common properties, to bring the cross -party cooperation in its back and to model the constructive behavior that is essential for a flourishing democracy.
