BUSS -Bus -Schreiber Union Station injured 1 person

According to the regional transport district, one person was injured at a bust terminal under Denvers Union Station at a shootout.

The shootout occurred on Monday around 10 p.m. and closed the terminal for several hours during the police investigation, said RTD spokeswoman Tina Jaquez.

According to the police department, an update about the victim’s injuries was not available by Denver.

RTD officials said that according to a press release, the agency increased her presence of the transit policeman at the Union Station and in the city center of Denver.

Charlotte Jones In Denver was in the Union and drove home as a server after a double layer when she heard a gun started and saw people ran.

“I looked up and saw how people scattered, saw someone down for the time being, and then I decided that it was time for me to get out of there,” Jones told the Denver Post.

She regularly takes public transport and has never experienced something like this, she said.

“I post online to promote the public transport system quite regularly because it was pretty good, reliable and safe, but last night my perception really changed,” she said.

Jones still used RTD to go to work on Tuesday, but said it felt scary through the station. She posted a Tikok video that she recorded shortly after filming to try to sharpen the awareness of the community.

“This kind of violence, the fact that we are desensitized and it is commonplace – that shouldn’t be,” she said.

The RTD Police Department routinely adds further patrols at the Denver Union Station and bus stops and train stations in front of top-class events, including the playoff game on Tuesday, the agency officers announced in the publication. The Denver police department also increases the patrols in the city center.

Customers and visitors can report unwanted or suspicious activities at RTD stops and stations or RTD vehicles with the transit guard.

Notphones that connect people directly to RTDS dispatchers are also available at selected train stations and transit systems, and drivers can reach the transit watch directly on the phone number 303-299-2911 or an SMS 303-434-9100.
