The audience first meet Daniel Blake in the series premiere of Daredevil: Born again. The character is shown by Michael Gandolfini, the son of, The sopranos Star James Gandolfini. Blake is part of Wilson Fisk’s employees during his campaign to become the next mayor of New York City And continues to work for him after his inauguration. Blake seems to be the representative of a new generation among FISK’s employees and to stay at the pulse of New York’s pulse if even the mayor’s chief of staff cannot do this. So far, Blake has been one of Fisk’s most important employees who seem to know what appeals to the mayor for the majority of New York. It also works in his favor that Blake apparently seems to be Fisk’s biggest fan and appeals to the mayor’s exaggerated ego.

Blake continues to rise in Fisk’s unofficial cabinet and quickly gains the favor of the mayor. With this new character, however, there seems to be something as if there is still crucial information that does not yet have to be unveiled.
