Biden, on “The View”, accuses sexism for Harris’ loss of election 2024

Former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. defended his mental sharpness during an interview on Thursday and accused sexism, the coronavirus pandemic and his struggle to bring the Americans short-term results for the return of President Trump.

Mr. Bidens Interview on ABC’s “The View” was his first on American television since his presidential period ended in January. His public re-diving-he also sat for a BBC interview that was broadcast on Wednesday before the upcoming publication of books that are likely to have its sharpness and ability to apply for a re-election last year.

“You are wrong,” said Biden about reports that he was rejected in his last year in office. “There is nothing that can maintain that.” He later added: “The only reason why I got out of the race is that I didn’t want to have a shared democratic party.”

Mr. Biden said that the democratic leaders and donors that he wanted to get out after his poor debate performance in June did not, but not the party’s ranking – an assertion that counteracts before and after the debate.

He said that he was “not surprised” that Ms. Harris had lost and that she had fallen victim to sexist attacks.

“They went the path of the sexist path,” said Biden about the Trump campaign and other Republicans. “I have never seen so successfully and a consistent campaign that makes the idea that a woman could not lead the country, and a woman with a mixed race.”

Mr. Biden also said that a Pandemic hangover had changed the relationship between the Americans and her government in a way that was not completely valued during the presidential campaign.

“I think we underestimate the phenomenal negative effects that covid and pandemic on people had attitudes, optimism and a number of things,” he said.

He admitted that his white house had not done an appropriate work to achieve immediate results and instead focused on long-term projects such as his infrastructure and computer chip legislation.

“Well, we have received a lot of obligations and we know that Amtrak, Bridges etc., but we were not quite as good as it was about advertising for her,” said Biden, referring to Mr. Trump’s constant sales talk. “It doesn’t say:” Biden brought you that. “There is nothing to say:” The Democrats brought you that. “And we knew that none of it would take place for another six months to two years.

Mr. Biden said a question whether he would have defeated Mr. Trump if the former president had not given up his campaign last July. But he took on a certain responsibility for Ms. Harris’ loss.

While Mr. Biden Biden a somewhat familiar defense of his heritage and his ability to serve as a president, his Dr. Jill Biden more aggressive setback. When she joined the interview, she attacked journalists who wrote books about Mr. Biden, and others who said he was a reduced figure than his concept of the white house. She also denied the reporting and suggested that she had overrun him.

“The people who wrote these books weren’t in the White House with us,” she said. “I was with Joe day and night. I saw him more than any other person. I woke up with him, I went to bed with him at night. So I saw him all day long and I didn’t create a cocoon around it.”
