When are the blue angels in Annapolis?

The blue angels arrive on Tuesday. The city of Annapolis Harbormasters explained these restrictions:

There is a temporary channel marked with red and green buoys. This channel must stay away from anchored boats throughout the duration of the shows. You will be moved when you are anchored in this zone.

The police authority of Anne Arundel County offered these tips for traffic navigation:

Expect considerable traffic and travel delays. The event will influence the traffic along the following routes: Taylor Avenue, Rowe Boulevard, Route 450 to the north and south in the area of ​​the Naval Academy Bridge, the Route 648, the Greenbury Point Road and the St. Margarets Road.

Municipalities in the areas concerned should be aware that some streets are closed during the event, including the closure of the US Naval Academy Bridge. Drivers who travel along the route should expect delays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please be careful because an increased pedestrian and heavy vehicle traffic is expected for the event.

Please note some changes to the parking and traffic patterns for events 2025.

From one hour before the show and remaining until a considerable amount of pedestrian and vehicle traffic is replaced from the area after the show, the following traffic restrictions are available:

  • Route 450 is closed in the Waveland Farms Road (a crossover) for all vehicle traffic without an emergency towards Annapolis. Note: The residents can have access to their neighborhoods
  • The Route 450 bridge is closed in both directions.
  • Route 648 through St. Margarets remains open. However, access to the Route 450 is not permitted.
  • Vehicles on Ritchie Road are not allowed to get out to Route 450.
