Barry Keoghan reveals addiction fights, says he has “scars here to literally prove it” that it literally proves it.

Barry Keoghan revealed that he had to fight with addiction.

The actor “Saltburn” admitted to being more addicted, while in a recent interview with authentic Hollywood thought about the fatal drug abuse of his parents.

“I am no longer rejected. I understand that I have an addiction and I am addicted,” admitted Keoghan, 32.

“You know that if you accept this, you can finally continue and learn to work with it,” he added.

Keoghan – whose mother tragically died when he was only 12 years old, explained that his father died from “similar” fighting.

“I lost two uncle and a cousin against drugs,” he revealed. “That should be enough to go, ‘ok, if I tablen here, I’m f – KED.’ But your curiosity is a powerful thing.

Even after Keoghan welcomed his son Brando in 2022, he could not shake his fascination with drugs.

“But her curiosity is a powerful thing. Sometimes it is advantageous and sometimes harmful,” he said. “It was harmful to me. Even my own son who came to this world did not stop me from being curious.”

The “Dunkirk” star found that Hollywood’s pressure prompted him to indulge drugs.

“You know, you go to La, you go to Hollywood, wherever the big scene is,” he said. “There is an enormous amount of pressure and a different lifestyle that is good and bad for them.”

“You are near the scene. You are simply the one who ultimately does it.”

According to reports, Keoghan rolled his sleeves up to show scars on his arms from his days of use.

“I have scars here to literally prove it. They are a result of use,” he said openly.

Fortunately, Keoghan is in a much better place and reports that he is “now in peace” and takes responsibility for his actions.

“I accept. I am present. I am satisfied. I am a father. I can only see this haze that was there once – it is now only a bit sharper and colorful,” he said.

The Hollywood star also expressed his regret for all the damage he caused his loved ones and himself.

“I have the feeling that I have arrived. I also apologize, mainly for me, especially for all the pain I have enforced people and myself,” he said.
