The 45th edition of the London Marathon promises an unforgettable race with more than 56,000 people who run on Sunday, including four times London Champion Eliud Kipchoge and the Olympic champion Sifan Hassan and Tamirat Tola.

Last year, 53,900 runners ended the race. Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, “the most popular marathon in the world” with an even larger field for 2025. He said last year that 840,000 people applied for this year’s event.
