‘Arcane’ team unpacks the last season, teasing more Caitlyn and VI

The last episodes of “Arcane: League of Legends” may have hit Netflix six months ago, but the fan passion for the Emmy Prize winner series is not nearly dying.

In a sold -out conversation with May 10th with diversity In Alhambra’s gallery core (in which a collection of “Arcane” concept work as well as tribute artists from over 30 artists are currently housed), the creatives behind “Arcane” unpacked the epic last season and teased what could be next for some fan fapor characters.

The emotional final moments of the series between the sisters Jinx (Ella Purnell) and VI (Hailee Steinfeld) were designed more than six years ago when “Arcane” was a workshop for the first time, said screenwriter and co-Executive producer Amanda Overton.

“It was originally a relay. It was nine. The big battle they saw during the second season was actually the end of season season. And after they ended the Writers Room, we made the decision to move and make the second season to this story. We will spend a whole season with earning it,” she said. “This first version was a tragedy because they could not solve any of their problems. In season 2 we had to give them that.”

The sisterhood of Jinx and VI was always a guiding light in the series, but another relationship strongly benefited from the additional room in season second: Caitlyn (Katie Leung) and VI. Season 2 ends with the young women after they have finally admitted their feelings for each other (and endured countless ups and downs when the war continued between patchtover and fence). Her developing relationship also included a steaming love scene that became the most recorded moment in the history of Netflix.

“I wanted the conflict around them to be together to be of central importance for the story, but not The Story. I was fed up with the conflict and the drama, “I’m gay” or “I come out”. We have eliminated all of this through the world structure of the show and only said that this is not a world in which there is homophobia, ”said Overton.

The co-director of “Arcane” and Creative Director of the FORTICHE production Barthelemy Maunoury said it was one of the most important tasks of the couple’s animation team. “Everyone in the studio was very excited to work on it.
