Arc Raiders Tech Test Practical

It has been almost three and a half years since which has announced Arc Raiders studios in brands. Originally it was supposed to be the debut game of the Swedish studio of Nexon. However, it was briefly introduced briefly when the first jokes were the first to concentrate on the free-to-play competition game for the first person who was currently in the sixth season of his live support in December 6, 2023 after the publication in December 2023.

In the meantime, Embrary Arc Raiders revised to be something completely different. The game was initially presented to the players as a cooperative shooter, but now it has turned into an extraction shooter that seamlessly combines PvP and PVE elements. However, the attitude is the same: a devastated future earth called mysterious machines called ARC. Not unlike in the terminator, people had to go underground to survive, and only the Titular -Raiders dare to venture precious resources and technologies. The players will do that, but they also have to ward off other Raiders.

As we found out when EMARK made it possible to access the upcoming Tech test, there are solo queues and group keepers for up to three players. Before you leave to the surface, you have to select your loadout, which consists of weapons, devices, armor, ammunition and the Melee Raider tool. There is also a free loadout option that can be used as a fallback if you have nothing more (which can happen if you capture a few bad initial matches) or just to avoid that you risk your articles that are normally disappearing after dying in one session. There is an exception: the safe bag. You can initially “stow” three elements (it may be possible to increase the size of this storage) that are not lost in death. To mention unnecessarily that these precious slots have to go to their most valuable possessions.

Communication within your group is essential because only a few balls are required to put them in down-out-out mode. If you are lucky, they can be saved by a nearby teammate, but they can also be finally completed by enemy players. At that time they are out for the rest of the round. The rounds last up to 30 minutes – after the countdown has expired, they violently extract from the surface. If you find enough prey, you can do this at any time during the session by going to the dedicated extraction points that are scattered on the cards. These can be elevators or U -Bahn stations. However, you should always take into account the potential risk of attracting unwanted attention from other players during the extraction phase.

So far it has been quite standard extraction price. However, Arc Raiders have a few things going on. First, it is played strictly in the third person’s point of view, while most of the genre games are played in the first person. It doesn’t seem to be a big difference, but it is what leads to a slightly less frenetic effect.

The cards in the Tech test were also very well designed and offered a lot of verticality. This aspect is further exploited by Ziplines, which can already be actively felt in the cards or can be used dynamically by the player if he has one in your inventory. The most important aspect of the game is the character progress. Regardless of whether you are successfully extracting or not, you still get experience based on what you have achieved in the game (defeated ARC machines or other players, various challenges, etc.). If you use a skill point after recording to improve certain passive skills, e.g.

In addition to the leveling system, Arc Raiders offers a master system in which players can pursue specific challenges and achieve high scores in order to receive rewards. In contrast to regular XP, you cannot advance the master system without successful extraction.

The game also focuses on the craft. Ammunition is a finite resource and it is also specific (there is slight ammunition, medium ammunition and severe ammunition), so that you are always looking for new parts to create ammunition, but also bandages to heal yourself and other resources that can be used to manufacture all types of objects. The equipment can also be updated to increase efficiency while expansion increases the storage capacity.

Arc Raiders also has “quests”. If you do not match, you can receive these missions from various NPC dealers and receive after use of useful rewards. However, I was disappointed that all of this is done more via a menu than through a proper 3D world interaction, as expected from a triple a game in 2025. Regardless of this, you can finally build handicrafts to create more advanced weapons and arms mods.

The title arch machines can be dangerous during the gameplay. There are also different types. While the drones are relatively easy to remove, the rollbots are more difficult to nail because they are very fast, and then there are hulcing metal animals that you should really avoid, unless you have the equipment and experience you need to take over. Of course, the most unpredictable aspect of other people remains. Incidentally, the game already has proximity VoIP, only in the event that you want to try to negotiate with other Raider groups. Somehow I doubt that this will be commonplace.

Arc Raiders looks great graphically. It is driven by Unreal Engine 5 and offers optional Nvidia RTXGI support, similar to the previous game by Emark, the final. The game already supports Nvidia DLSS 4 Multi Frame generation. Even with a high-end PC (Ryzen 7 9800x3d, GeForce RTX 5090) there were instances of the stuttering. Hopefully the optimization can still improve in the coming months. After all, this is just a tech test, and we have no idea of the release window for the game.

Last but not least, Emark shared some information about monetization of the game. Battle passes can be bought for Raider -token, which players earn by playing the game and increasing. Within a Battle Pass, the players then buy articles with Cred, a currency that the game offers after completing the daily challenges. These are specific missions and tasks that reset every 24 hours. The tech test, which begins for the public tomorrow, has three slaughter passes: the closed shop front, the back alley market and the remote courtyard.

So far, Arc Raiders have been promising. It is too early to say whether it will be the next big extraction shooter or just a temporary trend, but the use seems to have mixed in enough familiar and new elements to create an exciting recipe.
