Almost every WNBA team will soon have to cut several players

While the cuts of WNBA can still get out, it will be confusing to know which teams are done and which teams have to make cuts.

Here is a team-by-team update for final rosters that we will keep up to date (Monday, May 12th):

Indiana Fever

From Monday, the Indiana fever will have 12 bold players and sits below the salary limit. They could be done very well if they make squad decisions and have their 12 players secured before the start of the regular season. The only way more changes is that the team decides to get involved in the Freie Agency market after the cuts of other teams.

The fever made the most major decisions in front of the camp. In the end, she did without from Bree Hall, Jillian Alleyne and Yvonne Ejim.

Las Vegas Aces

The aces currently have 13 bold players, which means that more cuts are traveling. You have a little scope, but Cheyenne Parker-Tyus is on maternity leave. After Harmoni gymnasts and Queen Egbo, there are some other young players in the hackklotz. Vegas will probably make another cut to bring the number of active players to a total of 11 and Parker tyus.

The team announced on Monday morning that they had lifted Rookie Deja Kelly.

Rookies Aaliyah Nye, Liz Kitley and Sidee Crystal Bradford sit on this edge. To make difficult decisions because all four players are impressed during the training camp.

New York Liberty

The New York Liberty will have 16 players in the training camp from Monday. This still includes Betnijah Laney-Hamilton, who is injured and probably most, if not missed the entire season. There is speculation that the team will use their contract before the start of the season to release another duty roster.

But that would still leave at least three players who still have to be cut out of the squad. It is probably between Jaylyn Sherrod, Esmerey Martinez, Leaonna Odom and Annika Soltau, whereby the edge was at Sherrod, who played with the team last season.

Minnesota Lynx

Minnesota is almost finished with his movements and sits on 13 players on which they have a roster. The Lynx recently waived Reagan Richardson, and it was announced that Dorka Juhasz will be outside this season. The lynx will probably take two more steps to reduce its final number to 11.

It is difficult to predict where you will go with these two cuts. The players on the block probably include Diamond Miller, Grace Berger, Jessica Shepard, Alissa Pili, Anastasiia Olairi Kosu and Marieme Badiane.

Phoenix Mercury

The mercury currently has 16 bold players, which means that a wave will soon come from cuts. They had no draft picks this year, so every player in the camp who does not protect or returning has in a training camp contract. Many of them are players who don’t have much WNBA experience.

Phoenix took some interesting steps this year, and based on her current squad decisions, there is no prediction as to who you will do. You will probably have to reduce five other players, four if you are 12 with a total of 12.

Dallas Wings

Dallas recently did without and cut Mai Yamamoto and Madison Scott from the camp. This can be done with 13 players in the camp and 1-2 cuts. The rookies JJ and Azaiha James are still on the squad, together with the Camp -Signikers Kaila Charles, Joyner Holmes and Luisa Geiselöder.

If you go on the squad with 12 players, it would be nice to see both James and a shot.

Seattle storm

The storm currently has 14 players on the list, including Katie Lou Samuelson (who was injured in the warehouse). Samuelson will probably be outside for the season, but that doesn’t mean that it is still 100% cut. With 2-3 further cuts this week, the younger players of the storm may be at risk.

Li Yueru, Zia Cooke, Brianna Fraser, Mackenzie Holmes and Serena Sundell are all at these outskirts.

Valkyries Golden State

The Valkyries still have 17 players in the training camp, although they will probably have a total of 12 players. This still means that five players have to be cut at least. In 2025 they have Draftee Kaitlyn Chen together with Rookie Carla Lite on the squad and the training camp Elissa Cunane, Mamignan Toure, Kyaea Linskens, Janelle Salaun and Chloe Bibby.

As an expansion team that has already taken unpredictable steps, it is difficult to guess who will do this squad.

Connecticut Sun

The sun recently signed another player (Bria Hartley) who brought its number of training camps to 18 years. In the coming days, at least six cuts will have to be made to bring their total to 12. You have four planned players – Aneesha Morrow, Saniya Rivers, Rayah Marshall and Leila Lacan as well as five training camps – Robin Parks, Madison Hayes, Kariata Diaby, Amy Okonkwo and Haley Peters. Now Hartley is in the mix, although your late signing indicates that you want to keep it.

Even if the sun had to cut all five camp signs, you would also have to cut a planned player.

Chicago Sky

With the youngest cuts by Alex Wilson, Morgan Bertsch and Jessika Carter, the Chicago Sky are on 12 players. With Cap Room, this seems to be the last squad for the sky. This means that rookies Hailey van Lith and Maddy Westbeld will both do the squad.

Washington Mystics

Washington has 16 players in the training camp, including Georgia Amoore. After Amoor’s injury, it was a little unclear what the forecast is and she has no surgery on the knee yet. No matter, it is unlikely that you will cut them anyway.

With 4-5 cuts that Khadijiah Cave, Emily Engstler, Ashten Pretchel, Lauren Jensen, Lucy Olson, Zaay Green and Sika Kone, all possibly on the bladder.

Atlanta dream

Atlanta recently did without Ashley Joens, but they still have 14 players on the squad, which means that 2-3 further cuts will come. Maya Caldwell, Taylor Thierry, Te-Hola Paopao, Shyanne seller and possibly even Haley Jones are at risk of being cut.

The dream picked up sellers for exceptional regulations after being cut from the Valkyries, and made them play with the team. It will be interesting to see whether after all the speculation about her condition, she will do the last roster in the past few weeks.

Los Angeles Sparks

The Sparks recently cut Liatu King and reduced their number to 15 players in the camp. Another team that is probably rolling with 12 players this season, which means that at least three further cuts come. The sparks have three wipe heads left: Sarah Ashlee Barker, Sania Feagin and Shaneice Swain as well as the training camp, Maria Kliundikova, Aari Macdonald and Emma Cannon.

Final WNBA squad are due on May 15th.
