Aaron Judge is approaching Lou Gehrig on the special list in the history of New York Yankees

The New York Yankees lost to athletics on Saturday afternoon in West Sacramento, California. The A improved to 21-19.

Despite the loss, it was another excellent day for Aaron Richter, who went 2-5 with two homes, two runs and three RBIs. The defending champion of the American League MVP now comes with 14 Homern with 14 Homern .396.

According to Sarah Langs from MLB.com, he also moves an impressive list in the team history:

Most Multi-HR games, Yankees story:

Babe Ruth: 68
Mickey Mantle: 46
Lou Gehrig: 43
Aaron Richter: 41

It was an incredible first 39 games for judge, which was achieved with a percentage of 0.396 with a share of 0.486. He also has a ridiculous 1.258 ops. It is already twice MVP and is certainly in an early position to win his third version of the award.

And every time you can approach Gehrig in the team history, you have done something right. Gehrig, one of the most popular players in franchise history, was a 17-year-old veteran. He met .340 lifetime and blew 493 Homeruns. He was a two-time MVP, a hit master, a seven-time all-star and a seven-time winner of the World Series. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939.

The Yankees and athletics will play again on Sunday afternoon. The first pitch comes at 4:05 p.m. The former Yankee Luis Severino will start for the A’s, while the Yankees have not announced a starter to the current contribution.

Severino is 1-3 with an ERA of 3.62.
