“Adlee had a solid tumor growing on her left kidney that was 6 centimeters in size, about the size of a peach,” Lacey Frampton, Adlee’s mother, wrote in a statement from Ogden City. “You could clearly see it sticking out of her stomach.”

Lacey Frampton said the entire tumor was removed along with Adlee’s left kidney on May 16. Adlee received 13 rounds of chemotherapy over several months and was declared cancer-free on October 14, 2024.

“Our journey is not over yet as we continue to attend therapy to manage the side effects of treatment, but we are through the worst of it and are excited to see her thrive,” Lacey said. “This may not have been our year, but we are incredibly lucky to experience so much more with her.”

As Grand Marshal, Adlee was to be accompanied by Santa Claus and other special guests as she flipped the official light switch for Christmas Day Christmas Village after the holiday parade.

The parade, scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, precedes the Christmas Village opening gala. After the lights were turned on, the city planned fireworks over the illuminated village.
