Chrono Odyssey gives MMO fans hype, hope and hesitation

The MMO community hums again – this time everything is about Chrono Odyssey, an upcoming MMORPG by the South Korean developer NPixel. A new look at the gameplay is just falling and it is difficult not to make yourself impressed. The game looks stunning, the fight is striking and fast and there is a decent time manipulation mechanic that gives it a unique advantage. But do you stop! What is the catch?

Chrono Odyssey builds on unreal engine 5 and takes place in a fantasy world with dynamic lighting, detailed environments and flowing animations. The struggle seems to be a mixture of Dark Souls and Dragon’s dogma with weapon exchange, Dodge Rolls and a ability called Chronotector, with which the players can manipulate the time in the fight. Some people may still prefer the tab style of the old school, but as someone who enjoyed the more action -oriented struggle in the New World, I think this direction is the right one.

Unfortunately, NPIXEL and the call of Korean MMOs in general have fans. There is concern that the game could have predatory monetization, grinding progress and in-game stores that transform basic upgrades into premium purchases.

I wish that the MMO scene would not be so exhausted. I understand that the players were burned too often. Nevertheless, it is okay to increase. Chrono Odyssey looks cool. If NPIXEL deals with the usual pitfalls, the game could be the next big MMO. Let us manifest this, should we? No more fate and dark!
