The Dyson Pencilvac is the most rod rod vacuum ever

It was almost ten years ago since Dyson contained his overs sound hair dryer for the first time, which brought in his typical blow -off fan technology into a styling product. For a company that was mainly known for its vacuum at that time, this was a surprising step. Since then, Dyson has published several beauty tools such as his Airwrap curling iron that have produced countless imitations. The company also expanded to other categories such as Audio with its Ontrac headphones and the controversial zone headphones that were built with a built in-purification masks, and continued to make some of our preferred, cordless vacuum cleaners.

Today Dyson quits the circle by announcing the Pencilvac, which is the “slimest vacuum cleaner in the world”. The turn? It reaches this thinness by using an engine that basically corresponds to that in the overs sound hair dryer.

What distinguishes the Pencilvac from existing vacuum cleaners is the fact that it is basically the entire wave, with some fastening options for the head. This means that there is no outborting unless you use the included conical brush barn cleaner. All parts that would normally take up space on a conventional vacuum (such as a container, filter and engine) all fit in the long cylinder. At the bottom you can attach a variety of heads that have been specially developed for the Pencilvac, including the most important that Dyson calls the “fluffycones” cleaning head.

The company said it had four pins in two brush sticks that turn into opposite directions, and they were designed in such a way that they “even eject and eject long hair and the hair prevent the hair from getting tangled around the brush”. The laser -like lights on both ends of this head also help to shed light on where dust particles could be so that they can better see which places they missed.

Overall, the Pencilvac weighs about £ 3.96 (1.8 kg) and is said to be difficult to reach in all types. Since it has the same 38 mm diameter of approximately 1.5 inches, you can easily reach along his body where you place your hands. This should make it easier to grasp overhead cleaning.

In order to make the entire pencil to look like a pencil, Dyson had to redesign many components. This includes the new HyperdyMium 140k engine, which the company says that it is the “smallest (at 28 mm) and the fastest vacuum motor.” Speaking of, the container fits in the cylinder itself and has a transparent window with which you can not only see how full it is, but also observe how rubble is sucked. In fact, with a recently carried out demo with a mixture of satisfaction and sadness, I watched Bits from Crushed Lotus Biscoff cookies flew to the top of the trash.

Despite its small size, the HypderDyMium 140k engine seemed to be much powerful with it in my short time, because it was easy to pick up with Cheerios, cookies and other detritus. I also found the entire device to maneuver mostly – it didn’t feel too difficult and drove effortlessly through the bumpy food waste. I was a little confused about the locking system, because I had to make sure that I was holding it right (and waiting for a click) after I was ready to make sure the stick was not only to the ground.

Dyson also designed a new filtration system that the company said “separates dust and debris effectively from the air stream without filters causing filters to clog or remove the performance.” It also made a new “two -stage linear dust separation system that records 99.99 percent of the particles to 0.3 micrometers, so that only cleaner air is expelled into the house”.

It is more interesting that the Pencilvac has an “air -compatible container design” with which the container “contains five times more dust and debris than its capacity of 0.08 l”. In the few cleaning rounds I saw, the pencil seemed to be quite tight in the trash, even though it has something that I have not measured whether I can actually hold 0.4 l of things.

When it comes to emptying the container, you can use what Dyson calls his “new hygienic syringe -nine -ejection system” to empty it. I haven’t tried it myself, but it basically contains the removal of the cleaner head, targeting the bottom of the pencil on your garbage container and shafing the transparent housing up and down to get the rubble out. I saw a Dyson engineer who did this, and the process seemed uncomplicated, although it looked like parts of the housing that were enclosed by some crumbs. The good news is that you remove and filter the shell to clean it more thoroughly.

The Pencilvac also has an interchangeable battery that can take up to 60 minutes suction and you can charge the machine on the magnetic boost. This is also Dyson’s first connected wireless vacuum, which means that it works with the MydySon app so that you can see battery levels, access further settings and receive maintenance warnings (when and how to clean the filter). At the top of the handle there is also an LCD screen that shows the selected power mode and the remaining term (during cleaning). Here, too, you will largely interact with the controls via the two physical buttons.

Dyson has not shared any price details on the Pencilvac, but there is enough time for the company that has found out, as it will only be available in the USA next year. This is 2026. In the meantime, the device is sold in other regions in retail.
