The bats of Toronto Blue Jays were alive against the San Diego Padres last night on the 14-0 win of the last night, and now they will go the three-game sweep this afternoon.

If the brooms want to make it out, Torontos must continue to hum because Bowden Francis will take the hill.

The right is an ugly 6.03 -gergeous era and hands over an expected average of 0.306 to the opponents. The Jays’ list has to record the gap, and luckily a matchup against Padres Starter Stephen Kolek will help.

The 28-year-old RHP started the season in Triple-A El Paso and was called in early May. The immediate results were great: Kolek did not allow a run over his first two starts, including a complete shutout of the Colorado Rockies.

In the starts against the pirates and Mariner, he threw 84 and 83 stems. The complete game shutout is a small anomaly. He only threw 104 parking spaces and will probably not have a lead of 19 runs through five innings to help him relax.

Now he faces a line -up of Blue Jays, which is sixth place in OPS and fifth place in WRC+ in May. The Jays did not exclude a bin either and were able to set up Kolek’s Pitch Count quickly.

We suffered a bad beat last night when the Blue Jays achieved 14 runs, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has only an overall base. As long as Vladdy has good in bats again and again, I will happily withdraw its total bases in these solid numbers.

The Jays’ Franchise First Baseman meets an OPS of 0.917 this month .318.

It is crazy how the list of the Blue Jays has changed since Daulton Varsho returned. While the midfielder does not meet a high average, almost all hits feel effective.

Varsho went deep again last night and drove in four other runs. He has seven homes, 17 RBI and an OPS of 0.863 in his first 16 games this season.
