“In this first phase of the CMC -Ki, we focus on providing findings in which users need them most urgently on token sites,” said David Salamon, Chief Product Officer at CoinmarketCap. “Our AI is specially built for crypto, trained in our extensive market data and creates knowledge when users need clarity about certain cryptocurrencies.”

Salamon made it clear that the goal was to enable users to provide all information on only one website. This helps users to find information that you need without having to collect data from several sources.

How the AI ​​of CoinmarketCap works

In a press release that was shared with Crypto.news, Coinmarketcap explained how the new model works. The tool is provided with a large voice model such as the O3 argumentation model from Openai with the latest price data.

As soon as the results are generated, all users who click on one of the questions become the same issue. The answers are not generated in real time, but regularly updated. For important tokens, the AI ​​updates are updated every 30 minutes. Updates are triggered for smaller tokens if the price moves by more than 2% within an hour.

With this model, users can receive immediate answers without waiting for AI models to generate answers in real time. It also helps to reduce the API call costs for coinmarketcap. However, it is important to note that LLMs do not always provide precise answers and can be susceptible to hallucinations.
