The Chicago Cubs made a big swing in the past offseason and it paid off.

The team decided to give the franchise outfield Cody Bellinger against the New York Yankees and to bring Kyle Tucker out of the Houston Astros as a replacement. Tucker was one of the best electricity speed combinations of baseball throughout his career, but at the end of this season he is a lucrative free agency and only makes the move for a year before choosing another deal with a new team.

Tucker rewarded the decision of the Cubs by linging the team to a first place in the National League Central Division and one of the best records of sport. However, this success leads even more pressure for Tucker’s long -term contractual situation.

“Nobody earned more money in the first month of the season than Tucker, whose freedom value of $ 300 million has increased to perhaps more than $ 500 million,” Bob Nightengale from USA Today wrote in a current update about the increasing value of the deal.

On his part, Tucker has decided not to discuss his impending situation of the Free Agency. Last week, Jon Heyman from The New York Post noticed that the player “did not want to talk about possible conversations”.

But Tucker was forced to break this silence in a recent interview when Carmen Defalco from Espn Chicago asked him to confirm the demands for an expansion of Cubs fans.

“It’s nice to hear it from the fans that I want me to stay with the team and how much support and love them to give you and everything,” said Tucker. “For the most part, I only concentrate on playing ball and winning my role in winning these games and some somehow to make these parts fit together whenever they should.”

While Tucker is enough to play in Chicago, he stopped showing whether he would like to sign an extension. But he seems to be open-minded, and the Cubs should take this as a sign that the right offer keeps their new Franchise Slugger from ever reaching the open market.
