Las Vegas Aces Against Dearica Hamby’s action for discrimination is progressing | Aces

The aces are the only remaining defendant in Los Angeles Sparks Forward Dearica Hamby’s Federal Discrimination lawsuit, since all their claims against the WNBA were rejected by the US district court in Nevada last week.

As a former two -time sixth player of the year for the ass, Hamby’s first registration was claimed that the ass was “illegal motivated” in January 2023 to exchange them for the Sparks Los Angeles because she was pregnant with her second child.

She also claimed that the aces and WNBA have returned against their public claims on social media against them that their former team had abused them.

Your lawsuit was submitted in August last year. The aces and the WNBA moved a month later so that it was released.

The arrangement by the US district judge Andrew Gordon on Tuesday, which was received by the review journal, said the decision of refusing the application of the aces for Hamby’s claim to discrimination against two of its allegations: that the ass has not led to visiting her white house in order to celebrate its 2022 WNBA championship victory and prevent the team’s team.

Three of her other claims had no clear connection to retaliation measures, but she can submit a changed complaint that sets its arguments by June 6, the order says.

These claims were that the aces had instructed the players and employees not to speak to Hamby and tried to access their medical records after they had informed them about the trade and that former general manager Natalie Williams was wrongly implied during a public radio interview that it was aware of Hamby’s pregnancy in June 2022.

The aces separated from Williams in October. In the fourth year, Becky Hammon names the most recent arrangement of the court as the “decision -maker” and representative of the court, whose alleged comments on Hamby before the trade, “reasonable conclusions that the Aces Hamby have discriminated against due to its pregnancy”.

The aces at Hammon were involved in combating the federal action.

According to Hamby on Tuesday, Hamby also “plausible that trading with the sparks led her damage beyond the trade itself beyond the trade” because it could have lost the brand value and the support options by joining a less competitive team in a more saturated command market.

Hamby’s claims against the WNBA included that they did not adequately examine their situation and could not renew their marketing contract in the league. The court rejected all claims against the league with prejudices.

After examining the WNBA for Hamby’s claims, Hammon was suspended for two games and the ass lost its design selection in the first round 2025.

Hammon replied to the decision of the league by informing reporters that she “treated with care” from day one and only exchanged them for business purposes.

After a home game against the Sparks last August, which marked Hamby’s return to Las Vegas, Hammon interrupted a question about the lawsuit and again denied the allegations.

“I have been either in the WNBA or the NBA for 25 years. I have never had a recruitment. Never. Not even. I still haven’t (not) because Dearica didn’t submit any,” said Hammon. “She did not submit to the Player Union. She did not submit to the WNBA. These are facts. It is also the fact that nobody has made a call about the trade until Atlanta called us.”

The aces signed the veteran striker Cheyenne Parker-Tyus in February because she knew that it was pregnant and would be missing more than half of the 2025 season.

The aces did not respond to a request for comments.
