When the days expand and the sun is shining, it is the perfect time to give your windows a good peeling. After your glass panes have laid dirt and condensation in winter for months, you will probably look a little worse – blunt, striped or coated with pollen, the Express reports.

Before you grab chemical glass cleaners for this bottle, you have to equip the following with hard damping and ingredients that can linger in your home. Fortunately, the lifestyle expert Martha Stewart has a more natural solution to make your windows too shiny.

Martha’s own DIY window cleaner consists of only two natural ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.

In a blog post on her website, Martha revealed that her non-toxic but effective window cleaner only needs water and vinegar.

She said: “Over the course of the year, debris and film can build under Windows, thresholds and tracks.

“Windows should be dusted and washed regularly to keep them clean. I like to use a white vinegar and water solution for my windows.

“Vinegar kills germs safely and is much more economical than chemical cleaning staff and it is completely non-toxic and antibacterial.”

Here you can find out how you can clean windows with vinegar

To whip this solution, simply mix the same parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.

She said, “Spray a small amount to every area and make sure not to spray directly onto the frame.

“Choose a time of day when the sun does not seem directly under the windows.

“The heat of the sun can lead to the cleaning fluid dries, which leads to roam or water stains.”

Use a damp washcloth to distribute the vinegar-water solution over the entire window and make sure to get into the corners.

She added: “This can take some time, especially if there are many windows in the windows, but it is good if you let them sparkle.”

Finally, polish the window with a microfiber or lint-free cloth to remove all strips.

Martha said: “Always swipe the windows completely dry to avoid that a film accumulates more.”
