Tigers 14-2 Red Sox (May 12, 2025) Spielrkap

Detroit-Gleyber Torres met and drove in three runs and the Detroit Tigers drove on Monday evening to a 14-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox.

Trey SWEENEY also came three times in the first three innings in the first three innings in the first three innings for the Tigers, who improved to an Al-Best 27-15.

Jackson Jobe (3-0) gave a run in 5 2/3 innings. He allowed three goals, struck seven and went five.

Wilyer Abreu and Abraham Toro stepped to Boston.

Tanner Houck (0-3) allowed 11 runs in 2 1/3 innings. It is the second time that he gave up 11 deserving runs this year, which makes him the first Red Sox pitcher who does it.

The tigers took over an early lead over Torres’ two runs in the first inn.

Detroit then scored nine runs in the third. Riley Greene hit a two-run single when she jumped past Abreu in the right field and rolled to the wall. SWEENEY later added a Homer with three runs in the Inning.

Houck stood in the inning with 11 batters and only got one out before he was replaced by Sean newcomb.

Key moment

Jobe seemed to be in serious difficulties when he ran Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman to load the bases in the third. Kristian Campbell and Abreu each hit the ball hard – with starting speeds over 100 miles per hour – but Carpenter grabbed Campbell’s falling liner to the right, and Torres made a routine game on Abreus Grounder.

Key

Detroit had no longer achieved in the first three: 8 victory against the Oakland Athletics on September 8, 2008 in the first three innings.

Next on

The teams play the second game of their series on Tuesday. RHP Brayan Bello (2-0, 2.01) begins for Boston, while Detroit had to announce a starter.
