A 42-year-old man in the United States allegedly killed his wife and then died by suicide, said the authorities in Nebraska. After IndependentJeremy Koch stabbed his wife Bailey (41) and two sons, Hudson (18), and Asher (16) before turning the knife on himself. The family of four was found dead with fatal knife wounds in her house in Johnson Lake on Saturday in Johnson Lake. The incident occurred just a few days after Koch’s dismissal from a psychiatric hospital and a few hours before the oldest son graduated from high school, the officials said.

An investigation continues and the Dawson County lawyer has ordered autopsies for the four family members who Independent reported. “The Nebraska State Patrol, the Sheriff office of the Dawson County, the Eustis Fire & Rescue and Dawson County’s lawyer are expanding everyone who will be affected by this incident,” said Nebraska State Patrol (NSP).

Lane Kugler, father of Bailey Koch, said he found the corpses of all four victims in the house. He also said that his son -in -law, Jeremy Koch, had to deal with his mental health for years and that his wife tried to help him.

“What I have seen will follow me the rest of my life,” Kugler wrote in a Facebook post. “The psychological health care of this country is a disaster. A disaster. Breaked. And it doesn’t get any better, it gets worse,” he added.

Koch had been released from a hospital for mental health three days earlier, his wife Bailey said in a Facebook post. In another post, she said that her husband, whom she started first in the high school 25 years ago, “diagnosed serious depression in 2009”.

“I no longer have pride,” she wrote, adding, “mental illness takes my husband from me and I ask her to open her eyes and see the reality that is the psychological health crisis of this society.”

On a Gofundme page that was started just a few days before the incident, Bailey said that her husband’s condition deteriorated in 2024 and March. She also claimed that she woke up to her husband, who stood over her with a knife.
