Eye care products that were called back nationwide after the FDA audit

Due to quality concerns, various types of over -the -counter eye care products were recalled.

BRS Analytical Service, LLC, has published a voluntary recall that was initiated after an examination of the US Food and Drug Administration.

According to a contribution by the medical distributor Avkare, the health risk for the users of these products is unknown, but says that deviations that were identified during the FDA audits can lead to “unacceptable quality products, and it is not possible to rule out patient risks that result from the use of these products.

The called elements include:

• Artificial tears of eyelid solution

• Carboxymethylcell cellulose -Natrium -ophthalmiegel 1%

• Carboxymethylcell cellulose -Natrium -ophthalmische Solution

• Solution of lubricant solution

• Polyvinyl alcohol -ophthalmie solution

The called back items were only sent on May 26, 2023 to April 21, 2025.

Avkare calls on the business to check the inventory for accessed items and “set the use immediately and remove it from the active inventory”.
