Jeanie Buss is looking forward to talking to Anthony Davis of Mavericks in the low season

Anthony Davis was the next superstar who headed the Los Angeles Lakers franchise after LeBron James retired. However, the organization made a blockbuster deal that sent the Big Man to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic.

Doncic’s availability was never transferred to the rest of the league, and instead, General Manager of Mavericks, Nico Harrison, was careful to land Davis again in a deal for Doncic. Harrison said that the move was to give Dallas a better defense, and he later doubled by saying that despite the overwhelming negative reaction of the fan base.

While Doncic led the Lakers to the third seed and the playoffs, Davis suffered a belly injury that forced him to miss several weeks. Although Davis finally returned, Dallas lost to the Play-in tournament and went into the low season with more questions than answers.

The governor of Lakers, Jeanie Buss, liked Davis during his time in Los Angeles and in a performance in Siriusxm NBA Radio, she expressed how much she was looking forward to talking to him in this low season, as they have not received this chance since trade:

“I didn’t see him face to face and I am looking forward to the low season. But you have to remember, he is now under contract with another team. We had too many cases of people who accuse us of manipulated manipulated, so I have to be very careful with such things.”

Like her father, Dr. Jerry Buss, Jeanie has a knack for the connection with players and she made sure that she built a positive relationship with Davis. Jeanie is proud of himself and the organization of working with their stars, and they made sure to listen to Davis whenever he spoke.

If Dallas hadn’t been open to move Doncic, Davis would still be with the purple and gold, because there were no signs that he ever wanted to leave Los Angeles. Davis assumed the challenge of being the face of the Lakers, and the team made a conscious effort to highlight him on the floor when LeBron James played more support on the ground.

Davis did not seem to accommodate bad feelings towards the Lakers after trading, so Jeanie will surely be able to express how much it meant the organization and explain in more detail why they decided to deduct the deduction.

Lebron James jokes about Anthony Davis Trade

Lebron James and Anthony Davis formed one of the best duo in the NBA history, and the two remained tight after the trade. After James was eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves, he joked about the Davis trade when he was asked about the lacers who play without the center.
