Campbell drives 8 run fifth-fifth-to-quiet

For a second day in a row, the Campbell Sabres have proven that they are in the best form when they hunt from behind.

Campbells Eight Run Fifth Inning, which was covered by Kaaienna Fuentes-Arellano’s two-run shot for the center, received the task with a 12:10 victory against the third Maui-Champion Baldwin, Baldwin, on Wednesday in the quarter-finals of Division I in the softball soft ball stage of the Division I.

Mililani 4, Kamehameha 0

Sophomore Hinano Bautista turned a four-hitter to run the top seeds lady Trojans over the warriors in the last game of the day at RWSS.

Mililani (27-1-1) competes against Punahou at 7 p.m. in today’s semi-finals.

Makanalei Watkins-Villegas had two run-scoring singles to trigger the Trojan attack.

BauTista and the Trojans clung 1-0 in the lead after three innerings before adding individual runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth inning against the third team of the ILH. She did not exclude a stroke and only went a Trojan, publishing her second shutout in the State Turner.

Maryknoll 11, Kaiser 1, 5 Inn.

Kasi Cruz accused a one-hitter and drove in two runs when Spartan’s ILH champion advanced. Sheyzelle Iokia went 2-3 with a Homerun, Double, Five Rbis and two runs.

Palehua Silva added a Homerun with three runs. Maryknoll (17-7) scored four runs and five in the second.

Cruz struck three and went four.

The Spartans meet Campbell in the semi -finals today at 4:30 p.m.

Kaiser (16-9-1) plays at McKinley Baldwin at noon today.

Punahou 10, Hilo 0

Paige Brunn fired a one-hitter at RWSS on Wednesday when Punahou hammered the Hilo Biif Champion 10-0 in six innings.

The senior scored five and in so many days two went for their second game victory.

The runner -up Punahou will meet Mililani in today’s semi -finals at 7:30 p.m.

Taryn Ho scored a Homer with two runs, her second place in so many days. For only two runs in three ILH Playoff games, Punahou has achieved 24 in two State tournament games with the return of the third Baseman Li’i Brown, the cleaning racket.

Hilo came in with the former Maryknoll pitcher Molly Davi. Since Davi had withdrawn to Hilo for her second year, he had had an outstanding biif season in which the Vikings program was lit. However, she met her match in Punahou and allowed eight deserved runs with 10 goals. She played three and went three.

In the BiIF game, Davi was 11-0 with an ERA of 0.00, 153 strikeouts and eight walks in 67 innerings. In the pre-season she was 1-2 with an ERA of 5.02, 31 strikeouts and a walk in 15 1: 3 innings against Kauai, Nanakuli and Mililani.

Waimea 14, KS-Hawaii 3, 5 Innings

Kamaile Valente hit 3-against-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, and Kealohi Pundyke pulled four walks and scored four times when the Menehunes defeated the third warriors in McKinley.

Waimea will compete in the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium in today’s semi -finals.

Pearl City 13, Radford 7

Saunette Oshiro hit 2: 3 with three runs and three RBIs, and Maile Oda went 3: 4 with two runs and two RBIs when the chargers of the second seed defeated the RAMs.

Harlyn Barry and Lilyanni Mata each drove two runs for Pearl City, who led 9-1 after two innerings.

Pac-Five 15, Lanai 1, 5 Inn.

Kylie Oshita threw three goalless innings and three helpers helped with eight strikes when the Wolfpack defeated the Pinelasse with the fourth seed.

Dahlia Gangano and Mauliola Zuttermeister each drove three runs for Pac-Five, who will compete against Kapaa in the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium in today’s semi-finals.

Kapaa 15, Kailua 1, 5 Innings

Charlize Kenney fought with two homers and seven RBIs with 3: 4, and Karlee-Rose Keale allowed a run over four innerings when the top seed warriors of the Kauai Interscholastic Federation ride the Surlfrider.

Sienna Yamashita scored three runs and Jaicie Martinez drove three for Kapaa.
