Vance says Russia “asks too much” in negotiations to end the war with Ukraine

Washington – Vice President JD Vance said on Wednesday that the Trump government is of the opinion that Russia asks “after too much” during the talks to end their war in Ukraine.

“At the moment, the Russians ask for a certain series of requirements, a certain series of concessions to end the conflict. We believe that they ask too much questions”

The vice president’s statements come when President Donald Trump and other officials have strengthened the pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin in the past few weeks.

Vance, who has long criticized the US support for Ukraine and was involved in the Oval Office in February with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that the Trump government is asking for the discussions with Kyiv about what it needs to end the conflict.

“What the President said is that he will go away if he believes that he does not make progress in conversations with the two countries,” said Vance, who predicted that the war would not end “at any time”.

At the event on Wednesday, the Vice President said that the United States would see direct talks between Russia and Ukraine as the next important step in the diplomatic process.

“Obviously, the United States are happy to take part in these conversations, but it is very important for the Russians and the Ukrainians to talk to each other,” he said.

Vance added that he believes that it would be “probably impossible” for the United States to convey the conversations completely without at least some direct conversations between Russia and Ukraine try to close the “Golf” in the two countries. He said the United States was frustrated by the negotiations because Russia and Ukraine “hate so much” that the first 30 minutes of every one -hour discussion are spent, for example, “to complain about historical complaints”.

The United States has participated in discussions with Ukraine and European partners in recent weeks, but there are no formal conversations at the moment.

In an interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press”, which was broadcast over the weekend, Trump said that he thinks the United States was “closer” to make progress with a party “and maybe not so closely with the other.” He declined to say which side was the one that made progress. At the same time, the president admitted that “may not be possible to make a deal”.

When asked how long he would give both countries before he went away from the conversations, Trump said: “Well, there will be a time when I will say: ‘Ok, Make it continued. Let’s keep going and fight.'”

After the Oval Office Spat had made it, the administration alleviated its approach to Ukraine, especially as a deal to give the USA access to some of the rare of Ukraine, finally came together.

At the end of April, Trump Putin was outraged after his military had launched one of the most devastating attacks on the capitals of Ukraine since the beginning of the war. “Vladimir, stop!” Trump wrote about the social truth.

According to Zelensskyy, who announced that it was planned to increase the pressure on Russia without details on Tuesday, the Russia attacks have started four ballistic rockets and 142 drones in Ukraine overnight.

“The coming weeks will probably be very active for Ukraine in diplomacy,” he said. “We plan new measures to increase the pressure on Russia – to protect our people. I thank everyone who is with Ukraine.”
