According to sources, Rohit Sharma is to be released as India’s test captain before the England tour. In particular, Rohit, who is previously proven by India and Odi captain, was expected to lead the team in his upcoming tour, which exists five games in the longest format on June 20. Former Indian chief selector MSK Prasad believes that the presence of Arshdeep Singh, Sai Sudharsan and Kuldeep Yadav is a must in the squad for the five-game series in England. In a recent interview, the former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri had thrown his weight behind Sudharsan, who is in the middle of an outstanding IPL and has experience playing County Cricket.

In an interview with PTI, Prasad, who was responsible for the selection committee from 2016 to 2020, also gave his reasons why Arshdeep and Kuldeep have to be there in the squad.
