Crees should have a border in Phillies against rays

Phillies vs. Rays, 7:05 ET

Phillies vs. Rays, 7:05 ET

Before the season started, you may convince me that today’s Matchup could be a World Series preview. I would have said that it was unlikely, but at least at least possible that both teams could make some noise and find their way in the post -season -Ruhm. Now you could probably convince me that no team will do the playoffs. I would probably tell you that it is unlikely, but still possible. There is still a lot of season ahead of them, but the Phillies and Rays collect and both have to take a few steps to stabilize their season.

The Phillies are currently in a better place than their opponent. Philadelphia comes into the season with a solid record of 19-15, but they look at the mets that played excellent baseball. At some point the Phillies have to try to run a run or to step back with the fact that they only have the wild card as a way to the playoffs. What is going wrong for Philadelphia? Your offense is okay when a team affects an average of 0.255 and 159 runs. The pitching staff are pretty good with an ERA of 3.96 overall, but the whip at 1.30 is a bit high. It could only be a question if the team has to struggle with beating, as well as pitching and vice versa. You have a lot of talent and should have no problems improving victories over the course of the season. Zack Wheeler takes the hill for the Phillies in the hope of making it a good start for the series. Wheeler was good, but with a 2-1 record, 3.48 ERA and a whip of 1.00 not yet quite good. He may find his groove when he has thrown three starts in straight quality, so that two deserved runs each. The biggest concern is that he approved a Homerun in every game (which seven starts in seven starts for the season, compared to 20 starts last year). Wheeler was pretty well hit by the rays because they have an average of 0.279 against him in 43 bats, and half of their hits have been additional bases.

The rays are in one of the best departments in baseball with five teams that could have the chance to meet the playoffs. As we saw last year, the five teams struck hell and only two did the post -season (Yankees and Orioles). Profits of non-al-East opponents are very important for this team because they have to achieve as many victories from outside of the division as possible. The rays are only 16-18 for the year, but they seem to be better than their plates. The team meets 131 runs .245, and the team -era is 3.56, while the whip is even more impressive with 1.18. One of the great contribution to these pitching numbers is today’s starter, Drew Rasmussen. Rasmussen is 1-2 with an ERA of 2.64 and a very strong whip of 0.98. They seem to be a little careful with him, because they only let him go in almost every start. His number of pitch should point out that at least one more inning is possible for work, but the rays trust their bullpen, I think. He has his two worst starts of the year, he allowed three deserved runs in one and four in the other, but went five in our games in both games. Phillies rackets are 8-against-27 against Rasmussen, but only one of these hits was for additional bases.

This is a game in which I think the rays are dogs living. I understand that Wheeler is locked up and could possibly return to the stud that he was second for the Cy Young Award last season. I don’t stand in the way. Instead, we should play this under for the game, since both teams should be able to keep the other side to a reasonable number of runs. I think it will be a 4-2 final or the like. It is only uncertain which team the four will have and which the two will have.
